Have you ever been left HOME ALONE?

Well, I wasn’t really left HOME ALONE but they may as well have done so, cause I should have gone with them. Cause they visited the most amazing new restaurant in the Hunter Valley that has only been open a little while and has already won the best restaurant in the Hunter Valley and the Chef “Emerson” has just won a Chefs Hat 2011.

So off Mum and dad go to the Hunter Valley, their first time away from us kids in 10 years. It was in celebration of my Dad turning 50. They had three nights and they had the hide to leave us behind. My cousin Kate came to mind my brother & sister and I went off to my Grandparents for the weekend. This is where I made my Salmon Dish for the second time and Granny did not think much of it 😦

Mum and Dad had the following meals and when Dad wanted cheese for afters instead of dessert, she still ordered dessert, cause she said you cannot come this far and experience this sort of meal without having dessert. Well she ordered the chocolate dish for him and he ATE IT ALL!

  • Slow Roasted Pork Belly, Seared Scallops, Sweet Corn Foam,  Crackling and Tamarind Gel.
  • Duck Supreme, Pan Seared Duck Liver, Parsnip Cream  Savoy Cabbage with Orange Glaze

Mum, Dad and their friends all rated this restaurant.

The only thing they can suggest to make this an even better night out is to have the Degustation Menu to taste everything Emerson’s has to offer. Cause it really was the most amazing meal ever..Well, so they said…

Remember ? I never went!

What do you think?

Should I have been left at home?????????
