Fairies and a Food Frenzy

We have been very lucky to have had some great parties, I have had High Tea -Parties, Shrek parties and many more, my brother has had Soccer Parties and Pool parties and my sister has had a Survivor party, sleepovers and most recently a Fairy party ! YEP… a Fairy Party for her 15th Birthday. BUT, nowadays we get money instead of parties to go towards all the things we want to buy. Like this year we are all saving to go to Hawaii….Mum won a holiday there and they are taking us kids too cause part of her win is to renew their wedding vows. So now, we have about 18 friends coming along to celebrate – I can’t wait cause because last time when we went on holidays – I had the best time!

Lets go back to my sisters Fairy party…. Mum really struggled to find great challenging games, and I was allowed to join in with them too. Mum spent hours on the internet searching for ideas and stuff.

We invented games, they included dividing into two groups and taking a mascot to the local shops and having their mascot photographed in all sorts of weird places like the girls section of the supermarket or amongst the seafood section, even hanging with the fry’s at Maccas. This challenge took almost three hours – so if you want a really easy party then this is great!

When we were all home from the shopping trip after 15 fairies wandered through the local mall much to the looks from lots of kids. Mum made up this one fantastic challenge. Again the group was divided into two teams. They lined up at the bottom of our driveway and in 2 lots of 2 had to run to an awaiting table 20m away, 4 girls had to put on an apron and 4 girls had to put on an eye mask so they could not see. One had to sit on the others lap and well I think you need to watch the video to really enjoy this…….

MUD CAKE SURPRISE

1 X packet Oreo’s, crumbed finely in a wiz.

1 x packet of jelly snakes or 1 x packet of mini marshmallows

1 x tub of custard

ooooeeeee gooooeeee mud cakes

METHOD

In small containers of solid cupcake cases (in my photo I did not have any of these but you will notice them in the video). Pour some custard along bottom, top with a sprinkle of Oreo’s, place some jelly snakes and or marshmallows, and keep changing toppings until filled up. Finish off with cream and sprinkles.

The rest of the time was spent chilling out on the warm driveway.

You can always have fun with chalk!

And finally the Birthday cake – sorry for the smudgy look but I am working out how to blur backgrounds in pictures.
